We had a fantastic day yesterday with our visitors from the Animal Experience near Cambridge and some of their wonderful animals. As part of our transition programme and working with our local schools, we arranged for them to come in and meet the array of animals including a Royal Python, a Blue Tongued Skink and an adorable Meerkat !
Throughout the day we welcomed many of our primary schools, who learned all about these animals and their natural environments, the unique adaptations that allow them to survive and related topics such as biodiversity and environmental issues.
Many thanks to the Animal Experience for a fantastic day, and to the staff at the primary schools for bringing the students in. Here at Grace Academy we were really impressed with the primary students, how they respected and handled the animals and the fantastic questions they asked.
