Without a diagram to follow, but with the supervision of the Royal Navy team, Year 9 students had to make a stretcher to carry their casualty who was seriously wounded in combat. Students used their initiative to create a sturdy frame and had to engage their skills of teamwork, communication, and leadership to complete the task. With a limited amount of time, their stretcher was created, and then the race was on … who would be the first to get their casualty safely back to base for treatment?
A big thank you to the Royal Navy for this activity.
