What will I be studying?

The four units studied in this course provide a broad range of specific Travel and Tourism knowledge which links closely to business, marking and events. The range of unit’s will enable you to understand the amazing world of travel and tourism. You will gain an understand as to why nearly 4 million people in the UK work in this industry and why the industry accounts for nearly 10% of the UK’s GDP .

What skills will I be learning?

This course provides the opportunity to develop a wide range of practical and applicable skills ranging from communication, planning events, understanding global destinations, problem solving and understanding how technology is changing the way events, conferences and exhibitions work. You will gain marketing skills and have an understanding of this billion dollar industry.

Global Destinations.  (External assessment)

Unit 3:

Principles of Marking in Travel and Tourism. (Internal assessment)

Where might this lead me?

This course is an excellent platform from which to go on to higher education but most importantly it will assist with employability in the travel and tourism industry. It will also give you transferable skills into marketing, business and finance.
